Presenting the Masterpiece....

Umofia kwenu ...iya...kwenu ...iya....kwenuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu...yes I did it! The mission was successful...I threw down and I must say it was off the hook! so I decided to ignore the FDA warning and cook egusi (couldnt find ogbono)...my buddy showed up and dude was impressed! I mean what can I say ... i have finally found another hobby... so I plan on cooking something new every other week... But mannnnnnn turning pounded yam should be a form of exercise...for some strange reason, I can't seem to make pounded yam...its either it comes out with lumps or some of the yam flour still in it...oh well my buddy was around..so the pounded yam you see in the picture was made by him.

Sad you guys can't taste the soup... see as the beef is hugging the chicken, while the gizzard is serenading the stockfish..kai I see Bijou licking her finger...ahhhhhh diamond I can see your face..dazed! Naijablokeeee i represented for the guys oooo....it took me three hours but you must
agree ..i threw dowwwwwwwwwwwnnnnnn.

Before people start doubting, i took pictures of the burning surface ....

LOL...Well I second anonymous but the colouring came out good so we might give you a pass mark. On the other hand, i know that an awful soup's taste can be saved the array of conduments(namely fish, meat, MAGGI) that was put in it...so this brings us back to square 1
What shall we say???All that glitters is not GOLD...LOL

Kai! Miguel did it. Yay, i'm so proud of u man. You did a good job, at least judging from the pix. I'm salivating real bad. Looks like u used vegetable oil, try using palm oil next time, ecept u don't like it. That would take care of the color of the soup. Also, is it me or is it my eyes, looks like there's more egusi than spinach. You still tried. Mail me some egusi nauuuu.

My aunt taught me something new on cooking egusi. She'd put the egusi in a bowl, add some blended onion, blended crayfish, ground up maggi and other seasonings, she'd then break 1 egg into it (minus the yolk) and mix it all up. When it's time to put the egusi in the fried pepper, she then puts the mixture in little pieces. You see the egusi coming out in clumps, the size depends on how u put it in, mixed with the spinach. You could try it next time.

Congratulations miguel, must give credit where credit is due. I must add that you probably used too much egusi, but apart from what xoxo adds concerning the lack of red oil, It was a very good effort. Well done. Now what is the next dish??

    Hey Miguel,
Congrats on your soup, now completly off point. Yesterday for the first time in ages I was listening to Brian Mcknight's album hero, and I just had a flash back that I totally attribute to you, Do you/did you absolutely love that Brian Mcknight song that he sings entirely in falsetto, that starts with first, first time I looked into your eyes, I saw heaven - all sang in the highest voice imaginable....
Please let me know if that was you, cos at the moment I'm incredibly proud of my memory...

*clapping* congrats Miguel. Forget what everyone's saying about the red oil bit. I personally don't like red oil so I keep it at a minimum. Your pics have given me some inspiration to cook egusi next weekend - bijouxoxo style. @ xoxo, my aunt once taught me that way as well and because I never tried it immediately, I lost the details. So thanks for reminding me.

Technology is still far behind. What are the software guys doing? There should be a software that can turn the soft copy of the food on the screen to a hard one.
