FDA warning

In view of the FDA warning on spinach and my concern over the health of prospective tasters of my delicacy, I have painfully decided to suspend my Egusi cooking expedition. I must say this has really messed up the time-table of palatable delicacies, I had proposed to spoil my fellow bloggers with but being the benevolent blogger that I am, I have decided to make something else... Boiled eggs!

Ok seriously though, I have decided to ask my fellow bloggers to name the dish they want me to cook. Now majority carries the vote but let me warn you guys oooo ... Please keep it simple o else the next picture wey una go see na that of boiled eggs!

Hey Spicy Miguel - A suggestion for you on the Egusi stew, you don't have to use spinach, you can use collard greens (or Jamaican Callalloo, if you can find it). In fact, collard greens has a consistency and taste similar to the Efo used back home. You may find chopped collard greens in your grocery's freezer. Now get to cooking......!

HA! Miggy wants to escape. No way. Anyways, try something easy, make beans with corn at least u should be able to do that. What of Nigerian pancakes, the one u use flour, eggs and milk for? Do u need the recipes? I can give u my special family recipe for a fee, of course.

What of yam poridge that should be quite simple for you, but if in doubt yam pepper soup will suffice.

How about okra/ogbono soup? Very easy and you can even add ede, crayfish, meat and so on to liven it up.

LOL...point taken Miguel. Sha, it just sounded like you were really keen on the cooking thing and I thought to help you out with the collard green/callaloo suggestion.

The speed u take remove Egusi from list of potential meals makes me think you were truly afraid to try it!!! :)

BELLE, BELLE, BELLE! How many times did i call you? Why do u want to burst Miguel's bubble like that? You think we don't know the Egusi didn't turn out to be what he expected? Of course, we know that's why he's using style style to hide with FDA warning. FDA ko, FDA ni. Oya cook Ogbono or Okro soup and let's see.

@Bijouxoxo Abeg, which one is Nigerian Pancake?

Good Luck Miguel. To be honest, Okra soup is easier to make than Ogbono cos Okra 'draws' no matter what but Ogbono, you have to have the right amount of hot/water and there's also the stirring to make sure it draws.

@London Buki: You know in Nigeria, we make pancakes with egg, flour, milk etc. as opposed to the microwaveable ones here. When i'm in a good mood and i make it for my cousins, they're happy. They're the ones that coined the name "Nigerian pancakes." Do u need the recipe?
